At Focus Values System we have developed a distinctive approach that combines the precision of the Hartman Value Profile (HVP®-18) with the synthesizing power of artificial intelligence. This hybrid method lets us offer a tool for deep self-knowledge without sacrificing scientific rigor.
The two pillars of our method
Pillar 1: The rigor of science
We use the original Hartman test, a validated instrument that has been in use for more than 60 years in settings ranging from staff selection in university hospitals to executive coaching.
The test takes 15–20 minutes to complete and reveals the deep structure of your value system through 18 items in the outer world and 18 in the inner world.
The result is a Master Profile rich in precise, traceable data: your dimensional clarities, your blocks, the asymmetries between your inner and outer worlds, and your behavioral patterns.
This scientific foundation is the core of the report: the calculations are deterministic and traceable, and independent of any subjective interpretation.
Pillar 2: The power of generative AI
A raw profile full of metrics is valuable, but not always accessible. That is why we use state-of-the-art artificial intelligence models to turn that data into a clear, deep and useful narrative.
The AI does not “make up” anything. Its job is to:
- Translate the technical language of axiology into everyday language.
- Write the reports in a warm, professional tone.
- Generate the guided conversations in the Decision Space.
The AI does not decide; it writes. All the underlying intelligence —the calculations, the typologies and the interpretation rules— is programmed: deterministic in the calculation, generative in the writing.
The process in three stages
Building the Master Profile
From the test answers, our calculation engine generates more than 200 variables: dimensional biases, clarities, integrations, asymmetries, global ratios (BQr, VQ, SQ, CQ) and behavioral patterns.

Pattern analysis
On top of that Master Profile, we apply a set of expert-programmed rules that cross-reference all the data to uncover each person’s unique patterns: their main driver, their natural strengths, their possible blind spots and how their two worlds relate to each other.

Narrative writing
Only then, with all the information structured and the names already calculated, do we call on the AI to write the report. We pass it the data in a structured prompt and ask it to use the exact names, apply the Flip-Side Protocol, write in a warm and professional tone, and add nothing that is not in the data.
✓ The AI does not interpret, does not diagnose, does not invent. It only writes. It is the voice that tells what the engine has already discovered.

Your data, your privacy
Working with people’s data is an enormous responsibility. And we take it very seriously.
Your data travels in disguise
When our system uses artificial intelligence to generate your report, your name, your email and any data that could identify you are replaced with a random code before leaving our servers.
It is as if we sent your profile wearing a disguise: the AI works with the numerical data from the test, but never knows who you are. Only we know your real identity, and it is stored separately and securely.
Providers subject to the GDPR
We work with providers subject to the GDPR. Our AI provider operates on a paid plan, which excludes the use of your data to train its models.
Your GDPR rights and how to exercise them
Whether you are a client company or a candidate who has taken the test (through the company that commissioned it), you have the right to request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability of, or objection to the processing of your personal data at any time.
